In The News (all the times I was famous!)

It was the end of April 2016 and there was much more than Jazzfest making noise in New Orleans. We’d just had a spattering of sinkholes form across the city. But on April 29th, across from Harrah’s Casino on Canal St, the road fell into an underground tunnel creating a hole large enough for a airport shuttle, shutting down the street. The city lamented that the repairs would take upwards of three to six months. Rather than send letters, make phone calls, or donate to the re-election funds of city officials, we did to do what New Orleanians do best, we through a party. A ‘Sinkhole-de-Mayo’ fiesta, held a mere block from the sinkhole with the help of the Audubon Aquarium garnered national attention and lo and behold, on May 6th, construction on the sinkhole began! 33 days later, the repairs were complete.
